PURPOSE: A preparation method of a Ziegler-Natta catalyst using an alkoxide compound of a magnesium metal, titanium tetrachloride and an alkylbenzene compound as a starting compound and preparation method of polypropylene using the same are provided which give a catalyst having high polymerization activity and a propylene having various properties and molecular weight dispersions. CONSTITUTION: Polypropylene having high activity, stereo regularity and large particles is manufactured, wherein magnesium diethoxide is dispersed in alkylbenzene, the dispersed solution is contacted with an alkylbenzene solution containing titanium tetrachloride in an amount of less than one time and added with phthaloylchloride, stirred at 80-125°C for 1-10 hr and a liquid phase of a reactant is removed to give a solid phase part of the reactant, the solid compound is washed with an alkylbenzene solvent, contacted with the alkylbenzene solution containing titanium tetrachloride in an amount of less than one time followed by repeating the procedure, washed five times with a heptane solution at 80°C to remove the titanium tetrachloride and an organic matter.
