ELECTROMAGNETIC CLUTCH

PURPOSE: An electromagnetic clutch is provided to increase the durability for transverse torsion and to enhance assembling by integrating plural rubber dampers. CONSTITUTION: In an electromagnetic clutch, a pulley(1) rotates all the times by mounting a V-shaped belt so magnetic flux through the communication of an electromagnetic coil(5) as to be circulated to an armature(7) from driven. The armature is adsorbed into a rotor(2) to transfer the rotation of driven to a driving shaft(17) of a compressor(15). Also, the armature is withdrawn by the axial elastic restoring force of a rubber damper to isolate the rotation of the compressor if the electromagnetic coil is interrupted. The rubber damper supplies torsional force in a transverse direction in a process of transferring the rotational force of driven to a hub(13) through the rubber damper. The transverse torsional force is absorbed by a connecting band of a damper(11a) to increase the durability for torsion.
