SUPER TWISTED NEMATIC LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

摘要

PURPOSE: A super twisted mantic liquid crystal display(STN LCD) is to have a high speed responding feature of the crystal and a high contrast feature due to high frequency driving, thereby preventing lowering the contrast by the high speed responding feature. CONSTITUTION: A super twisted mantic liquid crystal display comprises a liquid crystaldisplaying panel(600) of which a thickness of a crystal cell is in an extent of 3-5 micron meter and a change of a threshold voltage is in an extent of desired voltage, a decoder(100) for decoding an input image signal, a controller(200) and a random access memory(300) for controlling an image displayed on the liquid crystal displaying panel using the image signal decoded in the decoder, a unit for driving a common electrode which controls common electrodes by the controller, and a unit for driving a segment electrode which generates a segment electrode driving signal having an amplitude of below 10 volts to drive the segment electrode.
