PURPOSE: A location information service method using a phone number and the system thereof are provided to find out the information of a desired location by using the phone number for the location. CONSTITUTION: A location information service system is composed of a geographical information DB system(100), a telephone information service system(110), a user terminal(130) and a communication system(120). The geographical information DB system(100) stores the location information for a phone number and outputs the location information. The telephone information service system(110) provides the guide for the location information. The communication system(120) comprising an exchanger(122), a mobile station center(124) and a mobile base station(126) provides the transmission path for the transmitting and receiving of voice and image data with the user terminal(130) and the telephone information service system(110).
