PURPOSE: Provided is a transparent liquid fabric softener composition having excellent self-dispersibility, excellent softness, excellent antistatic property, transparent rinsing property, excellent transient physical property by using a cationic surfactant. CONSTITUTION: The transparent liquid fabric softener composition contains 3-45wt.% of at least one selected from the group containing dialkyl alkanol quaternary ammonium salt compound(formula 1) and polypropoxy quaternary ammonium salt compound(formula 2), based on total weight of the composition. In the formula 1, R1 and R2 represent C8-C22 of alkyl or alkenyl group respectively, simultaneously R1+R2 is below C34, A represents COO¬- or CONH, B represents C1-C4 of alkanol group, M and Y represent C1-C3 of alkyl group or alkanol group, 1-15mol additional type of ethylene oxide thereof, and X represents halide or alkoxy sulfate group. In the formula 2, R3 represents C1-C3 of alkyl group, alkyl benzyl group or alkane diol group, M and Y represent C1-C3 of alkyl group or alkanol group, 1-15mol additional type of ethylene oxide thereof respectively, X represents halide or alkoxy sulfate group, m is an integer of 8-50, and n is an integer of 1-3.
