PURPOSE: Provided is a driving device of a circular cutter on a hosiery knitting machine which is characterized by rapid process speed, reduced maintenance cost, reduced manufacturing cost and easy production of the knitting machine owing to a simple structure comprised of four gears. CONSTITUTION: The hosiery knitting machine is comprised of: (a driving gear(2)) the driving device rotatively driving around a driving shaft(7) joined to a main shaft connected with a motor; an upper driving gear(2a) and a lower driving gear(2b) formed concavities(5) respectively; a clutch(4) which forms a projecting part(6), rotating and transferring between the upper and the lower driving gears(2a)(2b); the first connecting gear(8) comprised of an upper connecting gear(8a) and a lower connecting gear(8b) rotating around a center shaft(9); the second connecting gear(10) which is geared into the lower connecting gear(8b), rotating around a center shaft(11); and a rotating gear(12) which is geared into the second connecting gear(10) and installs an upper disc control console(13) controlling a position of a sinker, rotating around a center shaft(17).
