SCREEN SAVING DEVICE OF A DISPLAY MONITORS AND SAVING METHOD

PURPOSE: A screen storing apparatus of a display monitor and a method thereof are provided to restore data when an abrupt shut down happens by storing predetermined number of frame data displayed on a display monitor. CONSTITUTION: The device includes a microcomputer(22) and a memory(23). The microcomputer outputs a horizontal and vertical output frequency with response to a horizontal and vertical synchronous signal received from a computer main body, detects whether an abrupt power down occurs in a power circuit included in the computer main body, and outputs the first control signal used for storing an image signal automatically with response to a period of the vertical synchronous signal. The memory receives the first control signal and the image signal output from the computer main body, synchronizes the image signal with response to the clock of the horizontal and vertical output frequencies under the first control signal and stores the result automatically.
