PURPOSE: An apparatus for preventing the entrance of foreign materials inward a tread knife of a tire vent cutter is provided to facilitate the cutting of the tread vent, to reduce the generation of trouble of installation, to improve the appearance quality of the finished tire. CONSTITUTION: A tread knife of a tire vent cutter consists of a side cover bracket(4), a guide bracket, and a cylinder shaft cover plate for protecting a shaft of a pneumatic cylinder(1). The guide bracket comprises five guide shaft cover plates, and grooves for helping the sliding of the guide shaft cover plates. For preventing the wastes from being attached to the pneumatic cylinder and a guide shaft(3), firstly the side cover bracket seals the space defined in the side of a guide shaft fixation body. Then, the first guide shaft cover plate among the guide shaft cover plates is coupled to a forward and backward bracket(16), and the final guide shaft cover plate is coupled to a knife sheath(17). Also, the other three guide shaft cover plates are assembled so that they successively cross each other.
