The cooperating hole in the head part (2) and ring-shaped groove in the passage part (3) of the housing have locking surfaces that mate when the two housing parts are connected together. The socket (1) has a passage end for connecting to the cable, and a free end, the socket housing having a head part for receiving contact elements and a passage part with a duct for receiving the cable. The head and passage parts are joined together along a plane (4) at an angle to the length direction (L) of the head part and to the cable duct. In a first joint position the passage direction (P) is essentially parallel to the head part length direction, and in a second position these two directions are at angles to each other. A hole in the connection plane in the head part has grip edges for engaging with an essentially ring-shaped groove in the passage part, the latter being rotatable about an axis relative to the head part. |
