The brain activity representation method uses magnetic resonance, with a control unit for automatically controlling the generation of stimulation sequences, the acquisition of corresponding data and the processing and representation of the obtained data via a read- out display. A number of pre-programmed stimulation sequences may be selected by an operator, with a control processor (1) having respective control outputs (1a,1b,1c) for a magnetic resonance tomography device pulse sequence, for a stimulation device and for processing the measured data.
