PURPOSE: A plasma address LCD and a driving method of the same are provided to enhance optical efficiency and luminance and to operate it at high speed. CONSTITUTION: A plasma address LCD comprises barrier ribs(64), first electrodes and second electrodes. The barrier ribs separate plasma part into respective discharge channel. The first and second electrodes are respectively formed on even and odd barrier ribs. The driving method of the plasma address LCD comprises steps of: sequentially applying pulses having positive voltage level to even electrodes every horizontal period; and sequentially applying pulses having negative voltage level to odd electrodes every horizontal period.
