PURPOSE: A plasma display panel using high frequency and driver and a method for driving the same is provided for increasing the discharge efficiency by way of an effective discharge. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel using high frequency and driver includes a discharge cell, a high frequency electrode(38), and an address electrode(40). The discharge cells are arranged in a matrix form. A scan signal for address discharge and a high frequency signal are applied in the high frequency electrode(38). A data signal for address discharge is applied in the address electrode(40). A discharge room is densified with discharged gas.
