PURPOSE: The fluorescent material is prepared by using sodium group instead of Li3PO4 as a flux, which has an improved brightness. CONSTITUTION: ZnO, Ga2O3 and Na group compound such as NaCl, Na2CO3, Na3PO4, NaBr and their mixture are mixed and calcined at 1,100-1,300°C. The calcined material is milled and washed by hydrochloric acid. Obtained material is calcined again at 800-1,100°C and classified to give the blue fluorescent material. Thus, ZnO, Ga2O3 and NaCl are mixed and calcined at 1,200°C for 3 hours. The calcined material is ball-milled for 3 hours, and washed by 1% concentration of hydrochloric acid. The washed material is calcined again at 1,000°C for 2 hours to give the fluorescent material.
