MICROCASTING TECHNIQUE WITHOUT ANY PRESSURE

PURPOSE: A micro casting technique is provided to satisfy the requirements for the continuous usage of a mold by removing the pressure applied to the mold in casting procedure. The process also imparts the thus-obtained economical benefits to the casting works, without any restrictions to the thickness and rigidity of the mold. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for the process is comprised of a fine mold(10), metal molding materials, a heating plate, a vacuum chamber, a vacuum pump, and a rotating plate. The process is characterized in that the plate is rotated when the inner pressure of the vacuum chamber is less than 10¬-5 torr, and the materials are melted by the application of electric current onto the plate. As a result, the flow diagram of the process is depicted at figure 3 in detail.
