PURPOSE: A header of a heat exchanger is provided to make combination firm by enlarging combining area of a baffle and the inner face of a header pipe and to prevent dropping due to the weight of itself when temporarily combining a baffle into a header pipe by preparing the width wise length of the baffle to be closely adhered to the space between tubes. CONSTITUTION: A baffle(6) has a dividing face(6a) dividing a coolant passage of a header pipe and includes a part extended downward from the limb of the dividing face. The dividing face forms a wave on a concentric circle of which a diameter is lengthened from the medial in radial, and the upper face of the wave is the same as the lower face. The waveform improves welding efficiency of the baffle and the inner face of the header pipe by the heat transmission effect when brazing. The extended part is composed of an extended part(6b) for a header combined to the inner face of a header(4a), and an extended part(6c) of a tank combined to the inner face of a tank(4b). The extended part of the header has the same length as the distance between the insertion holes(4d) inserting the end of a tube(2) combined to the header, and preferable to have the length able to be inserted between burring(4e) protruded inward of the header and extended from the insertion holes to enlarge the combining area of a tube.
