PURPOSE: A steering system is provided to change ratio of a rotation angle of a steering wheel to a turn angle of a wheel depending on traveling of a vehicle and to be improved in operation by reducing transfer loss. CONSTITUTION: By rotating a steering wheel(50) to left or right, a control valve(70) is opened and oil is introduced into a power cylinder(10) by an oil pump(40). A piston(32) in the power cylinder is pushed by the oil pressure and pushes an output shaft(30) to operate the steering wheel easily. A pinion gear(61) in a gear box(20) rotates together with an input gear(51) and revolves a sector gear(62) so the output shaft as to do rectilinear motion. The sector gear has the shortest rotation radius at the nearest distance between a support pin and a guide pin, so that the output shaft moves slowly. On the contrary, as the sector gear rotates by the pinion gear, the sector gear has a large rotation radius at the far distance between the pins so that the output shaft moves fast.
