ELECTRIC FIELD EMMITER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PURPOSE: An electric field emitter and a method for manufacturing the same is provided to increase the number of materials used as an emitter for cheaper boards, to simplify the production steps, and to enable a mass production by way of using emitters with uniform characteristics. CONSTITUTION: An electric field emitter includes a common cathode(34), a gate pattern(36), an emitter layer(40) and an insulator layer(38). The cathode is formed on a board(32). The gate pattern(36) is formed on the cathode(34) in order to attain a predetermined inclined surface. The emitter layer(40) is formed with a predetermined distance from the gate pattern and assumes an edge shape. The insulator layer(38) is formed between the common cathode(34) and the emitter layer(40).
