PURPOSE: An apparatus for a multi-bank flash memory possible a program suspend and resume operation is provided so that the required data during the program operation can be read by the application of a program suspend and resume operation. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for a multi-bank flash memory possible a program suspend and resume operation includes an input/output interface circuit (300), a second bank and the perimeter circuits (400), a delete control circuit (500), a program control circuit (600), a sector information store circuit (700) and a high power generating unit (800). The input/output interface (100) outputs addresses of a first and a second groups during the operation of program, and a third and a fourth groups during the operation for reading out the program to row and column decoders. An address store circuit unit (200) stores addresses of the first and the second groups in response to the signal of program suspend during the program operation and outputs addresses of the first and the second groups in response to the resume signals of program.
