PURPOSE: A DC voltage generator is provided to reduce the amount of peak current and the consuming amount of current generated in a pumping operation by using an oscillator outputting oscillating signal having variable period. CONSTITUTION: A DC voltage generator includes an oscillator(100), a charge pump(200), a detector(300), and a voltage adjuster(400). Herein, the oscillator outputs an oscillating signal(OSC) having frequency varied according to an input signal(PVCCH) having a certain frequency, a detecting signal(PDET) from the detector, and a voltage adjusting signal(VFB) from the voltage adjuster. And, the charge pump outputs an output signal(Vout) having a certain voltage level higher than a source voltage(VCC) in response to the oscillating signal from the oscillator. The detector detects the voltage level of the output signal from the charge pump for outputting the detecting signal as the result of the detection. Moreover, the voltage adjuster outputs the voltage adjusting signal for adjusting the period of the oscillating signal according to the voltage level of the output signal from the charge pump.
