METHOD FOR DETECTING SERVO OF DVD ROM

PURPOSE: A servo detecting method of DVD ROM is to perform a linear production by set according to setting of measurement unit connected to an external port of microcomputer. CONSTITUTION: A servo detecting method comprises the steps of: determining whether or not a reproduction command is inputted through an external interface; performing a reproduction operation according to set speed and disk kind if the reproduction command is inputted through the external interface; and determining whether or not the reproduction command is a measuring mode according to an internal command if the reproduction command is not inputted through the external interface; and performing a linear reproduction operation without set speed and disk kind if the reproduction command according to the measuring mode is inputted.
