SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MEASURING TX VOLTAGE STANDING WAVE RATIO OF CDMA BASE STATION

PURPOSE: A system for measuring the Tx voltage standing wave ratio of a CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) base station and the method thereof are provided to diagnose efficiently the antenna performance of the CDMA base station under operation by getting an exact Tx voltage standing wave ratio by the improvement of the Tx voltage standing wave ratio measurement method using a circulator and a single directional coupler. CONSTITUTION: A circulator(110) sends a reflect power, reflected at an antenna(100) and returned to a base station, only to a base station test unit(170). A single directional coupler(130) sends a forward power transmitted to the antenna direction to the base station test unit(170) under the operation of a CDMA base station. Measuring the strength of the reflect power reflected at the antenna(100) and returned to the base station, the base station test unit(170) reports it to a base station control processor(180).
