In a roller shutter or blind of the type described in Specification 863091 comprising tiltable slats 2 coupled by front chains to a leader slat 2a so that all the slats tilt together, the slats being pivotally supported at each end near one longitudinal side to side chains movable in vertical guides 3, the leader slat has a guiding peg 20 disposed at one end to be adjacent one side 34 of the vertical guide 3 and there is provided a first auxiliary guide path 38 for the peg 20 communicating with the main guide path 35 in the vertical guide 3, via a passage 40 at the top and a passage 39 at the bottom, a portion 34a of the guide, carried on a cover plate 30 being interposed between the main and first auxiliary paths, a tongue 41 at the lower end of the portion 34a acting on the peg 20 when the leader slat rises and reaches the bottom passage 39 to transfer the peg from the main to the first auxiliary path and a pivoted spring biased hook member 46, pivoted on the cover 30, receives the peg 20, when the blind is again lowered, and directs or transports the peg along the horizontal second auxiliary path to the end 50 thereof to tilt the slat. At the top passage 40, the .portion 34a has a tongue 42 which allows the exit of the peg 20 from the auxiliary path into the main path but does not allow the peg entry into the auxiliary path at the top. The peg 20 may be as described in Specification 863091. Means is provided for giving an audible signal when the slats are positioned incorrectly for tilting by lowering the blind (Fig. 4, not shown).</p> |
