PURPOSE: A mode display for digital television is provided to display the mode of current detecting method and to enable user to know all modes of television detecting method. CONSTITUTION: A mode display for digital television includes a synchronous signal splitter(120), a first PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) converter(150), a second PWM converter(160), a mode discriminator(170), and an OSD(On Screen Display)(180). The synchronous signal splitter(120) subtracts horizontal and vertical synchronous signal from the TV signal. The first PWM converter(150) converts the horizontal synchronous pulse to a DC value. The second PWM converter(160) converts the vertical synchronous pulse to another DC value, The mode discriminator(170) determines the mode of current TV signal based on the DC(Direct Current) values. The OSD(180) displays the determined mode from the mode discriminator(170) on an OSD screen. |
