PURPOSE: An apparatus for program upgrade of digital television is provided to record a new or updated program on a card memory provided from outside to simplify support program upgrade. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for program upgrade of digital television includes a memory card(700), a card load block(600), a card read block, and a system control block(200). A change program for updating previously loaded program is loaded on the memory card(700). The card load block(600) provides a data transfer path toward the memory card(700). The card read block reads a program from the memory card(700) through the data transfer path. The system control block(200) controls the whole digital television system to perform a required operation, when a particular operation is required by a user of a system. |
