PURPOSE: A method identifying video sources on television is provided to automatically check all video sources input to a TV and display them on an OSD screen, thereby selecting desired input signals by a user if video sources from outside equipment such as a VCR, a video CD, a camcoder, etc. are input through outer input lines. CONSTITUTION: A method identifying video sources on television comprises steps of: inputting a video source identification key; switching the signal input to the television into a video IC if the identification key is input; detecting a synchronous signal in the switched respective signal; memorizing the input signal in which the synchronous signal is detected in the video IC; processing the input signal memorized in the memorizing step in an OSC, then displaying through a CRT; and selecting desired input signals if The OSD screen is displayed. |
