PURPOSE: An apparatus for processing signal in optical transmitting system is provided to simply compose a system by excluding a frame synchronization of each dependent signal and a high-speed signal to perform an add-drop. CONSTITUTION: A high-speed signal processing unit(410) processes an STM-64 signal. A dependent signal processing unit(420) processes an STM-1, an STM-4 and an STM-16 signal. The high-speed signal processing unit(410) has a frame signal generating unit(411) for generating a frame signal, a receiving and demultiplexing unit(412) for receiving a high speed from an outside, a first point processing unit(413) for synchronizing the output signal of the receiving and demultiplexing unit(412) to a reference clock according to the frame signal transmitted from the frame signal generating unit(411), a second point processing unit(414) for synchronizing the dependent signal transmitted from the dependent signal processing unit(420) to a reference signal according to the frame signal transmitted from the frame signal generating unit(411), an add-drop switching unit(415) for combining the output signal of the first point processing unit(413) and the dependent signal of the dependent signal processing unit(420) to perform a switching.
