PURPOSE: An organic electro-luminescence device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to expand the life span of the organic electro-luminescence device by reducing the oxidation of a rear electrode and an organic layer. CONSTITUTION: An organic electro-luminescence device comprises a semiconductor substrate(1). A transparent electrode(2) is formed on the semiconductor substrate(1). A light emitting layer(4) is formed on the transparent electrode(2). A rear electrode(6) is provided on the upper surface of the light emitting layer(4). An insulating protection layer(7) is coated on the rear electrode(6). The insulating protection layer(7) is made of germanium oxide. A hole carrying layer(3) is interposed between the transparent electrode(2) and the light emitting layer(4) and an electron carrier layer(5) is formed between the light emitting layer(4) and the rear electrode(6).
