PURPOSE: A receive information selection device and method therefor are provided to enable a receiver to select the information which a facsimile transmitter transfers with a bidirectional communication device. CONSTITUTION: A receive information selection method comprises steps of: determining whether or not the number of a transmitter is stored in a memory if access request is received; transmitting an invoice to the transmitter if the number isn't stored in the memory; transmitting predetermined information if the transmitter received the invoice responds to the invoice; and storing the telephone number of the transmitter and the invoice in an invoice unit.
