<p>The invention relates to a method of monitoring the progress of solidification of a plastics resin material, which method comprises (i) subjecting the material to a low frequency compression wave signal having a first frequency thereby to induce resonant vibrations in the material having a frequency higher than the first frequency, and, (ii) detecting and characteristing one or more of the resonant nodes of vibration thereby to indicate the progression of solidification or curing.</p> |
