摘要 PURPOSE: A small-sized fuel modifier is provided to reduce the poisoning event of anode caused by carbon monoxide by employing a metal thin film for permeating only hydrogen from fuel and lowering the concentration of monoxide contained in hydrogen fuel supplied to the anode. CONSTITUTION: Fuel such as methanol is evaporated in a fuel pre-heater(22) made up of a fuel sprayer or a heat exchanger and is sent to a fuel supply header(28). The fuel is flowed in a hydrogen dividing reaction chamber(7) through a fuel inflow hole(17) installed in each unit module(1) of a fuel modifier(30) and is modified and is hydrogen-divided in the same reactor. The generated permeate is gathered in a permeate header(27) and is supplied to an anode of a fuel cell stack. In addition, the pressure of the hydrogen dividing reaction chamber is regulated by a pressure regulator(23), and raffinate falls down to atmospheric after passing through the pressure regulator and is sent to a channel convert valve(2). The raffinate is sent to a combustion catalyzing chamber(9) as needed and is utilized as fuel so that energy efficiency of the fuel modifier is improved.
