<p>The invention provides sterile compositions comprising a complex of a therapeutic peptide and a polysaccharide selected from the group consisting of cellulose derivatives, chitin, chitosans, galactomannans, and mixtures thereof, wherein the complex has been sterilised with ionising radiation. The presence of the polysaccharides surprisingly stabilizes therapeutic peptides against decomposition under ionising conditions, especially under gamma-irradiation. Processes for the preparation of the sterile compositions and processes for the preparation of sterile therapeutic peptides are also claimed.</p> |
