<p>A method for determining whether an individual is susceptible for asthma is disclosed. In addition, a method for predicting the severity of asthma in a patient is also disclosed. These methods involve determining whether an individual carries an allelic variation in the IL-4 receptor that leads to increased receptor signaling as a predictor of asthma and asthma severity.</p> |
