PURPOSE: A projector having an automatic deflection control unit according to image projection states is provided. CONSTITUTION: A projector comprises a projection CRT and driving unit(100), a deflection coil unit(600) and a deflection processing unit(400) for image projection; and further comprises a gyro sensor and its signal processing unit(200), a controller(300), a selector(500) and a mode switch(700) for controlling an image projection direction according to screen alignment states. When the projector is disposed on a table or on the bottom to project an image to the screen at the front, an initial deflection state is maintained as it is. In the case that the projector hangs from the ceiling, scanning by deflection is performed in a vertically opposite direction to the initial direction. When the projector is disposed at the rear surface of the screen to project an image, facing to the user, scanning by deflection is performed in a horizontally opposite direction to the initial direction by selecting a rear surface mode in the mode switch(700). |
