AN AC PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL AND A DRIVING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A plasma display panel and method for driving the same are provided to increase the margin of insertion timing between the discharge sustain pulse and address pulse inserted between two discharge sustain pulses so as to prevent a voltage of the discharge sustain pulse or a frequency from increasing. CONSTITUTION: The plasma display panel includes plurality of electrode pairs consisting of the first electrode and the second electrode and common windings(xx1,xx2,xx3,xx4). k electrode pairs are arranged on one alignment layer of two substrates facing each other in a stripe formation and n electrode pairs are arranged on the other alignment layer of the two substrates in a direction crossing the first and second electrode pairs in the stripe formation. Each of the common windings includes m first electrodes and m second electrodes and the first electrodes are implemented separately from one another. The overall summation of the electrode pairs consisting of the first and the second electrodes k equals to m*a. m common windings are formed by commonly wiring electrodes one by one from the common electrodes with same sequence.
