PURPOSE: A method and a device for controlling power supply of a display device of a refrigerator are provided to restrain unnecessary power loss by selectively feeding power supply to a display device of a refrigerator. CONSTITUTION: An opening of a door, the selection of a key of a user and the current temperature in a refrigerator are read. An input signal is compared to a predetermined value to decide the current state of a refrigerator. The power is supplied to a display device if the door is open, a key is selected by a user, or the sensed temperature is higher than the predetermined value. The power is cut off after a certain time by counting the time from the starting point of the power supply to the display device. Thereby, the power supply is controlled. Herein, the dissatisfied state of a refrigerator is informed by warning and then a user takes a proper action.
