PURPOSE: A gas back flow prevention apparatus for scroll compressor is provided to minimize back flow of the compressed gas by allowing a non-return valve to be rapidly shut off by the pressure difference and its weight, and improve discharge efficiency of the compressor by minimizing flow channel resistance of the non-return valve. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises a discharge cover(110) for dividing the inner space of the casing into a high pressure section and a low pressure section and which is fixed to the casing so as to seal a gas outlet port(8b) of a fixed scroll(8); and a plate(120) hinge-coupled to the upper surface of the discharge cover through a hinge piece(122) and which opens/shuts off a gas outlet hole(110a) formed at the discharge cover. The discharge cover has at a center thereof a protrusion(111), and the gas outlet hole is formed at one inclined surface of the protrusion. The plate is bent in such a manner that an end of the plate gets caught at the outer surface of the discharge cover, and the bent portion of the plate is coupled to the hinge piece.
