PURPOSE: A gear shifting limit device on parking is provided to prevent the abrasion and overheating of a brake pad resulted from the travelling when a parking brake is locked, by limiting a gear shifting on parking. CONSTITUTION: A lever guide(52) is equipped on the lower side of a gear shifting lever shaft(51) and guides the movement of the gear shifting lever shaft. A shaft interrupt bar(53) is equipped on the lower side of a gear stage dividing plate(52') of the lever guide and interrupts the movement of the gear shifting lever shaft. An actuator(54) is controlled by an ECU(55) and moves the shaft interrupt bar back and forth. A parking brake sensor(56) detects the operation of a parking brake and transfers the operation condition of the parking brake to the ECU.
