CIRCUIT AND METHOD FOR TRANSLATING AUDIO SIGNAL OF A PC/TV/VCR

PURPOSE: A circuit for converting PC/TV/VCR audio signals and a converting method thereof are to reduce a burden of a main system for a multi-media computer by selecting a TV audio signal, a video audio signal and a PC audio signal automatically. CONSTITUTION: An audio signal selecting unit(60) detects an audio signal and selects the detected audio signal to generate an OSD data in response to an audio selection signal, a color gain control signal and an audio signal. An OSD unit(45-1) receives the OSD data in response to the audio signal and outputs an OSD gain signal. A video pre-amp(45-2) receives the color gain control signal and a video signal generated from a PC and amplifies the received video signal to a predetermined level. A video main amp(45-3) receives and amplifies the video signal and the OSD gain signal. A CRT(55) displays the video signal and the OSD signal. An audio pre-amp(65) amplifies the selected audio signal to a predetermined level in response to the audio selection signal. An audio main amp(70) receives and amplifies the audio signal. A speaker(75) outputs the audio signal which is generated from the audio main amp.
