A game machine capable of correctly checking hit between moving objects moving at high speed. A relative speed calculating section (22) calculates the relative speed between the player's car and the opponent's car. If the relative speed exceeds a predetermined value, a hit check position determining section (23) equally divides the distance that the player's car travels for 1/60 second at the relative speed by a length equal to or shorter than the length L of the player's car to determine the number of hit checks, and sets one or more hit check positions on the paths where the player's car and the opponent's car move. A hit check section (25) performs a hit check of the player's and opponent's cars at each hit check position. |
