SCANNER FOR ULTRASONIC EXAMINATION OF SLOPING WELDED PART

PURPOSE: A scanner for ultrasonic examination of sloping welded part is provided so that an automatic examination can be carried out about a sloping welded part by forming an arm block of a scanner as a slope fitting a shape of the welded part. CONSTITUTION: This scanner is about a scanner for ultrasonic examination which detects defects of a welded part(11) by ultrasonic wave. The scanner for ultrasonic examination of sloping welded part can even detect defects of a sloping welded part(11) such as a Cone of a steam generator(10) used in an atomic power plant. A sloping angle is measured by a manufacture drawing and an on-the-spot survey of the sloping welded part(11) and analyzing a balance of power affecting a former arm block. So an arm block(120), which has the same sloping degree as a gradient of the welded part(11), is completed. With the arm block(120) which is formed as what has been said, an automatic examination can be carried out about a welded part(11) with a slope.
