A METHOD OF FEED FORWARD LINEAR POWER AMPLIFICATION USING PILOT TONE HOPPING

PURPOSE: A method for amplifying a feedforward linear power is provided to use a pilot tone hopping system, so as to show smooth distortion suppression characteristics in wide frequency bands. CONSTITUTION: A linear amplifier system using a feedforward system detects operation frequency components for being amplified, from RF signals applied to a linear amplifier. The linear amplifier system decides a pilot frequency component for being inputted in an applied signal, from the detected operation frequency components. The linear amplifier system hops the decided pilot frequency component to an upper wave band or to a lower wave band of an operation frequency band, and inputs the decided pilot frequency component. In the step of detecting the operation frequency components, the RF signals are converted into the first IF component. The first IF component is converted into the second IF component. The second IF component is converted into a DC signal. The operation frequency components for being amplified are detected, by using the DC signal.
