DELUSTERED POLYESTER POLYMER

PURPOSE: A low glossy polyester polymer containing amorphous silica as a delustering agent is provided which has delustering property and is useful as a delustering film for a label and a transcription of electronic goods. CONSTITUTION: A polyethylene terephthalate composition is prepared by the reaction of dimethylterephthalate or terephthalic acid with ethylene glycol, wherein as a delustering agent amorphous silica having an average particle size of 0.5 to 5 micrometer in an amount of 1,000 to 50,000ppm is added thereto. The obtaining polymer has a haze of above 50% and a surface glossiness of below 40% and is useful as a delustering film for a label and a transcription of electronic goods.
