PURPOSE: A method for processing a call in a multiplexing device receiving E1/T1 lines and an HDSL(High_bit_rate Digital Subscriber Line) unit is provided to use the HDSL unit mounted with a modem function in the multiplexing device, so as to use the HDSL unit in a place where the multiplexing device is located, without installing a rack of a modem for HDSL processing. CONSTITUTION: A multiplexing device checks whether an HDSL(High_bit_rate Digital Subscriber Line) unit is in a transparent mode. If so, the multiplexing device checks whether the HDSL unit is to be activated. If so, the multiplexing device reads a start from a memory, and records a user card buffer value of the HDSL unit in the memory. If the HDSL unit is inactivated, the multiplexing device deletes the user card buffer value of the memory. The multiplexing device controls a map of the HDSL unit according to the activating and the inactivating, and performs a call processing.
