PURPOSE: A single-scanning deflection circuit is provided to control the deflection for maintaining a single-format resolution regardless of the inputted signal format. CONSTITUTION: A single-scanning deflection circuit controls a the deflection corresponding to a display format of inputted R,G,B signals. A phase locked loop (200) provides A/D converting clock and D/A converting clock by horizontal and vertical synchronous signals of the R,G,B signals. A controller (202) provides information according to the pre-settled sinnal display format by distinguishing the display format mode from the horizontal and vertical synchronous signals of the R,G,B signals and a controlling signal by a user's key operation. And the single-scanning deflection circuit comprises an A/D converting part (204), an inputted signal format converting part (206), a D/A converting part (208), an R,G,B signal processing part (210), a free amp (212), CRT (214), a deflection controlling part 9216), a vertical deflection oscillator (218), a horizontal deflection oscillator (220) and a deflection york (222).
