PURPOSE: A signal message routing method using a default route in signaling network No. 7 is provided to transmit a signal message from a relevant signal point to a signal point, which is not managed, thereby preventing the signal point located at the network terminal from causing overload in network management. CONSTITUTION: A TCAP (transmission control application part) transmits a signal message to a relevant SCCP (Signaling Connection Control Part), which is in idle state. The SCCP checks an SCCP message field of the transmitted signal message and a self-status table to identify whether a signal point for a relevant SCCP message routing exists. If the signal point exists, it is identified whether the relevant signal point is available. If available, it is identified whether a subsystem for the relevant SCCP message routing exists. If there is a subsystem, it is identified whether the subsystem is available. If available, the relevant SCCP transmits the relevant signal message to an MTP (Message Transfer Part) and returns to the idle state.
