摘要 PURPOSE: A structure for sensing rotational torque of an electronic steering system is provided to measure rotational torque when rotating a steering wheel and to prevent errors from being generated by backlash even in forward/reverse rotation. CONSTITUTION: By rotating a steering wheel, a rotational force is delivered to a torsion bar(4) and an output shaft(3) through an input shaft(2). The input shaft rotates, but the output shaft does not by the influence of resistance. Thereby, the torsion bar is twisted by the rotational resistance. A sliding member(6) contacted to an inclined surface(22) moves lengthwise in proportion to a rotation angle when a circular cam(21) rotates together with the input shaft. The sliding member induces a slider(7) on its rear end to move. A roller(64) on the opposite surface of the slider also rotates so a torque sensor(65) as to detect torque depending on the rotation.
