HOME NETWORK SYSTEM AND ITS NODE ID ALLOCATION METHOD

PURPOSE: A home network system and its node Id allocation method are provided to keep a normal working without resetting the system in adding or removing the network device and allocate the node ID of the changed device. CONSTITUTION: A root acting as a bus master controls and manages a data flow on IEEE 1394 bus among the connected home network systems. The root stores and manages all node ID information of the devices connected to the home network right after its first operation. Other devices allocate a non-used number as the node ID for the new device when the new device is connected to the home network. The root device notify a message for the node ID information of a dis connected device to other devices by broadcasting not to send a signal to the deleted channel.
