PURPOSE: A period iteration reproduction method of a VCR is provided to display a logo of a maker or frame data selected by a user when a video tape is rewound to a start position of an iteration reproduction period after completing an automatic period iteration reproduction operation. CONSTITUTION: In a period iteration reproduction method of a VCR, whether a period iteration reproduction is executed is judged(S201). If so, there is judged whether a storage key input signal is applied through a key input part(S202). In a case where the storage key input signal is applied, a frame of a present reproduced screen is detected, and then the detected frame is stored(S203). In the state that the detected frame data is stored, there is judged whether a reproduction operation is completed until an end point appointed by a user(S204). If so, the reproduce mode is switched into a stop mode. The stored frame data is read, and the read data is demodulated so as to be displayed(S205). After displaying the data, the stop mode is switched into a rewind mode(S206). If a present rewound position is a start point of the appointed period(S207), the rewind mode is switched into the stop mode, and then an output of the frame data is interrupted(S208). The stop mode is switched into the reproduce mode in order to reproduce the appointed period(S209).
