PURPOSE: A method for driving a plasma address liquid crystal display is to eliminate unnecessary charged particles accumulated in a discharging channel after a discharging process, thereby preventing a cross talk phenomenon. CONSTITUTION: A method for driving a plasma address liquid crystal display, which includes a cathode, an anode and a data electrode, comprises a step of periodically varying an electric potential of the anode. In the method, when a positive voltage is applied to the anode, a negative voltage is applied to the cathode so that a discharging process is performed. When the negative voltage is supplied to the anode and the positive voltage is supplied to the cathode, an image signal is supplied to the data electrode so as to accomplish a gray scale.
