PURPOSE: An ink charging device of an ink cartridge for a printer is provided to easily charge and discharge refill ink in the ink cartridge by providing an automatic/semiautomatic refill ink charging device. CONSTITUTION: An ink charging device of an ink cartridge for a printer includes an ink tank(80), an air pump(70) for discharging ink of the ink tank by injecting air into the ink tank, a discharge amount meter(90) for detecting a discharge amount of ink by color, an ink injection nozzle(100) having an injection needle(10) connected at a front end for injecting ink discharged through the discharge amount meter by color, a control panel(10) for control general functions, a main controller(50) controlling general operations according to the manipulation signal of the control panel, a driving controlling part(20) providing the manipulation signal of the control panel and counting signal of the discharge amount meter to the main controller and controlling various displays according to the control of the main controller, a display part(30) for displaying required display states according to the control of the driving controlling part, and a software(40) for controlling the general operations of the main controller and a software storing kinds and volume of ink cartridges as database.
